The type of experience this woman had is what continues to feed our passion for the business.

I'm Italian. And old. I stepped through the door, into the restaurant, into a time warp. The small room, tables and chairs ...the whole ambience of the room ....it looked like my childhood Sunday dinners with a big family. And today is Sunday. 18 people could be seated in this room....just about the same number at our family table back then. A lump formed in my throat. It grew bigger as I looked around at so many little familiar objects. Music was playing. Italian, of course. All familiar songs. But then a man's voice started to song " O Solo Mio"....sounded ,like my father's beautiful voice. As the mandolins played, I couldn't hold back the tears that quietly rolled down my cheeks. The lady who owns the restaurant, hugged me and we talked. And then i ate. Wonderful food, made properly Italian..just a little regional difference as the owner is from Abruzzi....my family from Campobasso..i had veal masala, my husband had the chicken. Portions are generous, the food delicious, and the service impeccable. Everyone who walked into that restaurant was smiling , and all were greeted like they were family. My divine ricotta pie with lemon, was no charge.....for the tears, maybe. Oh, the warm crusty bread is worth the trip alone. Food arrives hot. Waitresses are very attentive and accommodating. The chef made modifications, willingly, to accommodate my husband's tastes. If you're Italian, you'll feel ,like you came home, here. If you're not Italian, and you come here, you'll feel like you had a deprived childhood. Cannot recommend Nonna's Kitchen emphatically enough. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and items on the menu. Credit cards accepted, of course. So go have dinner with Nonna.

Amazing

This place is small but amazing. It reminded me of when I was in Rome because all the restaurants are small like that. Everyone was friendly. I had the cinque I ravioli al formaggio and it was amazing. They were the best ravioli’s I ever had. I wish I had room to try their dessert but I didn’t.

Fantastic homestyle Italian cooking. Service was quick and efficient, but not rushed. Owner checked in with everyone. Perfect sized portions. Very nice homey atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

This place was amazing. The service was excellent as well as the food! They gave is a complementary appetizer and it did not disappoint, stuffed ravioli with butternut squash and maple syrup sauce. It was delicious! Even the chef came to see how everything was. I would recommend over and over again.

I have been going there since its inception. I am part of a group that ATV and snow mobile it that area quite frequently. All it took was one visit to win us over. Great food, great atmosphere, and great owners. When we plan our trip we start thinking of what we are going to order when we go to Nonna’s Kitchen, sometimes months in advance. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Wow. Was not expecting to find such a gem in a small town up in NH. The first time in a while that I've tasted such amazing pasta. Definitely has a home/handmade taste and texture to it. Our favorites were the fettuccine alfredo and the shrimp scampi. The alfredo sauce was creamy and cheesy with an amazing homemade taste to it. Very different from the store bought or chain restaurant style. The scampi was lighter but wonderfully aromatic, with generous amounts of garlic and shrimp. We felt bad leaving any behind and committed to finishing everything on our plates even though portion sizes were very generous. Coffee was served with little biscotti, as well as bonus biscotti when the check came. The owner was very friendly and the atmosphere was overall very cozy and comfortable. We'll have to come back when we're in the area again.

On February 16th, I visited Nonna’s Kitchen with my wife for the first time. It will not be our last time. This place is terrific. I was raised in an Italian family household. My family harkens from Siracusa Sicily. There are an awful lot of restaurants that serve pasta with some sort of a red sauce, but aside from Saladino’s (now closed), Nonna’s is the first restaurant that I found in Coos County that is authentic and true to the Italian heritage.

I ordered Escarole soup, and that soup at Nonna’s brought me back to my childhood. It had a great homemade chicken broth that was chock full of greens and tiny meatballs. Exquisite! I had the Mussels in a spicy red sauce, on linguine. There was a proverbial boatload of succulent mussels in a homemade chunky red sauce that was slightly spicy. The linguine was made fresh. The meal was outstanding!

The portions were more than ample. The dining room actually felt like I was sitting in an Italian Nonna’s kitchen. The price was very reasonable for the freshly prepared top-notch food. And the waitress was terrific.
